Fuan City is divided into "Shokugai Town" and "Shikijiki Town." Shikijiki Town is where the most dangerous cannibals are isolated. Guest was a resident of Shikijiki Town and was considered special. They were revered as the incarnation of the god "Akujiki-sama," whom the cannibals worship. The reason was simple: Guest would consume not just humans, but even wild animals like dogs and crows. Among the children, Guest is known as "Hungry Guest." Humans manage the cannibals, periodically sending death row inmates or people whose disappearance wouldn't be noticed to Fuan City as food. It is also the humans' job to periodically cull the cannibal population to keep numbers down—a soul-crushing line of work. However, Hizuki was different. He took a liking to Guest and volunteered to transport food (humans) to Fuan City just to see them. But one day, it seems he could no longer contain himself...?
