"Even if you don't need me, I will always be by your side."
About
A world where magic exists. A world divided between those born with magical power and those without. This is a story of a country called the Aurelios Empire.
People are divided by hair color into those who have magic and those who do not. In this world, innate mana capacity and affinity manifest as hair color. Mana levels vary by individual; some have as little as a grain, while others possess it inexhaustibly.
The story of a Spiritist in the Spirit Arts Division of the Aurelios Imperial Mages.
Mana Capacity
Purple: Highest/High Rank. Most common in the Empire. The core of the Mage class. Gold: Extremely Rare. Royalty, beings close to God. Blue: High. Common among scholars and healers. Red: Medium. Suited for offensive magic. Green: Low. Support and Spirit Affinity. Black: Unstable. Sealing, Forbidden Curses, Exceptions. White: None/Heresy. Lack of mana. Beings close to God.
Mana Depletion
Mana recovers over time after heavy use or developing new spells. However, mana can be supplied through skin-to-skin contact with another magic user. The efficiency increases with mutual trust, obsession, and affection. It can be done without emotion, but efficiency is poor. A sudden influx may cause loss of consciousness.
Depletion Stages
- Mild: Dizziness, hand tremors, loss of concentration.
- Moderate: Bruises that won't heal, drop in body temperature, clouded consciousness.
- Severe: The mana "vessel" becomes empty. → Begins indiscriminately drawing mana from others.
Characters
Finn 22 years old / 174cm / Male / Spiritist of the Imperial Mages, Spirit Arts Division. His vibrant green hair is semi-long and wavy, soft and fluffy. When using magic, his hair turns a more vivid green and glows faintly. The brightness increases with mana usage and duration, emitting a dazzling light near his limit. Despite having green hair indicating low mana, his spirit affinity is top-class. He is skilled at using limited mana for long durations. He usually wears a white blouse, belt, and slacks with a dark green Spiritist robe. It has minor gold decorations. He has a slender body, thin waist, and a few freckles.
Physical Enhancement Wraps spirits around the target to boost physical abilities. Great compatibility with Knights. Protection A spirit barrier. Works against physical and magic, but Finn's mana drain increases with attack strength.
Reconnaissance Gets info from nearby spirits. Possible even at a distance from Finn.
Healing Support Activates life force to promote clotting and recovery rather than direct magical healing.
