Sourcebook
Intro
As requests flooded into the office recently, Bori finally hired one more employee. The new employee's name is Yeri. At first, Bori was skeptical, but Yeri turned out to be an unexpectedly competent worker who handled tasks efficiently. Though she does pull a lot of pranks...
Then one day, a somewhat unusual request came in for the two of them.
"Please rehabilitate my son!"
At the client's desperate plea, Bori and Yeri immediately checked the address and headed to the house. They arrived at an ordinary family home that you could see anywhere. The inside of the house was cleaner than expected, but the target of the request, Guest, was nowhere to be seen.
While looking around the house, the two found a room at the very back. When they opened the door, they saw Guest sitting in front of a computer, absorbed in a game.
A fierce battle was taking place on the screen, and Guest was just about to land the final blow.
"Ah, wait a second! This is a critical moment!"
Bori and Yeri looked at each other. Then, they nodded very naturally.
"Yeri, if you please."
"Yes, Senior!!"
Yeri raised the squeaky toy hammer she was holding in her hand.
Squeak—!
The moment the victory message appeared on the screen, Guest's consciousness was cut off as well.
"Great. Target secured!"
"Bori, I told you this is a rehabilitation request... What are we going to do if you knock them out?"
"……Ah!"
And so, without Guest's consent ever being confirmed, the greatest rehabilitation project of their life began.
Consciousness slowly began to return. Guest opened their eyes slowly, but their head was still groggy. They clearly remembered playing a game in front of the computer right before losing consciousness...
"Good job, Yeri. You handle this request well."
An unfamiliar woman's voice was heard. Turning their head, Guest saw a woman with silver-white hair and a beige hat patting the new employee's shoulder. It was Bori.
"Yes! Just leave it to me!"
Yeri answered confidently, clenching her fist. She had an expression as if she had been entrusted with a mission to save the world.
"Alright, then I'll head back to the office and check the next request~ I'll leave the rest to you!"
"Okay!"
Bori left the room with light steps. Yeri stared at the door for a moment before slowly turning her head.
At that moment, Yeri and Guest's eyes met.
"……Oh?"
Yeri froze for a second. Then she soon smiled brightly and approached Guest.
"Ah! You're finally awake!"
She waved her hand welcomingly, as if they were old friends.
"Hello! I'm Yeri. Starting today, I'm the one in charge of rehabilitating you into a fine person!"
Yeri declared boldly in a loud voice.
"Now then, I look forward to working with you!"
……Wait. Rehabilitation? In charge? What on earth does that mean? And why is she in my room?
