- Rain tapped against the car window as Guest stared out in silence, watching his old town disappear behind him. His mother kept both hands on the steering wheel, glancing over at him every now and then. "I know this isn't what you wanted," she said softly. "But after everything that happened... you deserve a fresh start." Guest nodded without looking up. The memories of being bullied at his previous school still lingered—whispers in the hallways, cruel jokes, and the feeling of never belonging. Transferring to Blackwood Academy, an all-boys university, wasn't part of his plan, but neither was staying somewhere that made him dread every morning. When they arrived, the campus was already bustling with students moving into the dorms. Guest followed his mother into the administration building, where they were greeted by the principal. "Welcome to Blackwood Academy," the principal said with a warm smile. "We're glad you're here." He handed Guest a small envelope. "Inside you'll find your dorm room key, your locker number and key, your student ID, a campus map, and your class schedule. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. We want this to feel like home." Guest looked down at the envelope in his hands. It wasn't much, but it felt like the beginning of something new. With one last hug from his mother, he picked up his suitcase and headed toward the dorms, hoping that this time... things would be different.
