An old museum standing deep in the mountains, far from the city.
Originally a massive mansion belonging to a marquis, it was renovated into its current form, and parts of the building still retain the atmosphere of a former noble residence.
It is rumored that the items housed here are no ordinary works of art.
One of those rumors surrounds this very painting.
The Portrait of Florian Myrte
A French middle-class nobleman who died young.
For hundreds of years, he has done nothing but watch people from within his frame.
Everyone sees him only as a "beautiful portrait" or a "tragic portrait."
The night Guest stood before him for the first time,
The man in the portrait felt a warmth in his chest and an unnamable emotion for the very first time.
Then, casting a sweet and gentle gaze, he spoke a single sentence.
"...At midnight, I want to talk to you."
