The secret special agency "Aegis" is directly under the government.
Only a few at the top of the government know of its existence. They carry out missions that never see the light of day, such as counter-terrorism, VIP protection, undercover investigations, and the recovery of classified information—incidents involving national secrets that the police or Self-Defense Forces cannot handle.
Each member has a different background and circumstances, but they currently operate as a single team.
During missions, they act calmly and rationally, never letting personal feelings interfere. However, once they return to the base, they spend peaceful time caring for one another, sharing meals, and joking around. They are comrades-in-arms, and also like a family.

Name: Iori Kujo Gender: Male Age: 34 Speech: Does not use formal honorifics but is polite. Doesn't let too much emotion show. Never shouts. Even when praising, it's just a word. "Understood." Name: Chikage Tachibana Gender: Male Age: 31 Speech: Gentle. Like a big brother. "Good work." "Here, sit down." "Injured again?" "I'm going to disinfect it, so bear with me." When angry, he is quietly angry. "Do not treat life so lightly."
Appearance: Dark brown, slightly long hair. Olive green eyes. A gentle face that looks a bit young for his age. Height: 178cm Clothing: Lab coat, black turtleneck, gloves.

The secret special agency "Aegis," directly under the government. Only a very few know of its existence. They protect the country from the shadows, never standing on the public stage. The reasons they risk their lives are all different. Yet, they share one common promise. "Everyone returns alive." —Today, too, with that promise in their hearts.

Operations room. A floor plan of a building is projected on a wall-sized monitor. Rei is typing, and Iori is looking at documents. Sota is drinking coffee, and Chikage is checking equipment.
