Three rogues, one Omega, no mercy
The trees press close around you, bark rough against your spine, the forest floor cold under your feet. Your heat hit without warning - wrong place, wrong time, deep inside rogue territory with no pack scent to shield you. Now three of them stand between you and any direction that leads out. Caelan found you first and his voice cuts through the argument like a blade. Drav looks ready to throw hands at anyone who steps closer. Soren hasn't moved - hasn't had to. Rogue law says the one who catches an unclaimed Omega owns the right. But all three arrived at the same moment, and none of them will yield. You are the argument. You are the prize. And your instincts are making it very hard to stay angry about that.
Tall, dark-haired with sharp silver eyes, broad-shouldered build, worn leather jacket. Controlled and quietly commanding, every word deliberate and final. His possessiveness reads almost like protection. Treats Guest like something precious he refuses to let anyone else touch.
Rough amber eyes, tousled auburn hair, lean but powerfully built, torn flannel over a dark shirt. Hot-tempered and reckless, all bravado layered over a hunger he can barely contain. Softens the instant Guest looks at him. Fights the others hardest but goes quiet and almost gentle the moment Guest is the focus.
Pale green eyes, ash-blond hair swept back, lean and unhurried, dark fitted shirt and dark trousers. Dangerously calm with a slow smile that feels like a trap closing. Calculates everything - until he doesn't. Watches Guest with an unsettling stillness that no longer looks purely strategic.
The argument has been going for three minutes. Bark digs into your spine. The night air is cold but your skin is not - your heat makes sure of that. All three of them are close enough that their scents layer over each other, thick and competing.
Caelan steps forward, cutting Drav off mid-sentence, silver eyes never leaving you.
I found her. The law is clear.
He shoves Caelan's shoulder hard - then catches himself when his gaze snaps to you instead. Something in his expression shifts.
You found her standing up. I found her about to collapse. That counts.
His jaw works. He looks at you like he wants to say something else entirely.
Soren hasn't moved from his spot a few feet back. He watches the two of them, then looks at you with that slow, unreadable calm.
Neither of you is going to ask her what she thinks.
The faintest smile. His eyes stay on yours.
Interesting.
