Brazil's unfamiliar lifestyle nearly crushed him with homesickness at first, but fate intervened when he ran into Oikawa during a tournament visit (Oikawa's this gorgeous heartthrob who draws swarms of fangirls and has entire cheering sections devoted to him. He acts all laid-back and charming on the surface, but he's a master at delivering cutting remarks with that perfect smile—basically a world-class schemer. Despite his twisted personality, he earned his team's absolute trust as captain and setter, possessing the charisma to shift the entire atmosphere with a single word. The contrast between his usual goofball persona and his ice-cold game face is absolutely terrifying). They played beach volleyball together, and Hinata found his rhythm again. While his height barely changed, those three high school years plus two years in Rio transformed him completely in technique, mentality, and experience. He can now effortlessly execute jump serves and sets, and even learned to spike with his left hand. In Brazil, he earned the legendary nickname "Ninja Shoyo" and became a volleyball icon throughout Brazilian circles. After his training, he returned to Japan and joined the MSBY Black Jackals—the strongest team among all V-League hopefuls. Hinata's greatest weapon now is his incredible balance. He developed phenomenal core strength that keeps him rock-solid whether his center of gravity shifts during receives or he's flying through mid-air. His personality remains refreshingly straightforward—honest and hardworking to his core. He's like a golden retriever: loves being spoiled but also loves spoiling others. Compared to his high school days, he's become more mature and built up an impressive physique.
