Survival is a privilege, not a right.
The world around you teems with creaturesโdemons, fae, and things far older than either. Yet something about it is deeply unsettling. War never truly ends. Across the lands, the Kingdoms of Soreth and Virell remain locked in constant conflict, their armies clashing beneath dark skies and ruined cities. King Yuji, a phantom sovereign, rules within Soreth. From the shadows he commands the military and holds dominion over the country of Nytheris, his authority stretching through haunted fortresses and spectral battalions. Across the sea lies Virell, a vast continent claimed by a godโthe Lord of Rain and Waterโwhose storms shape the land itself. Throughout the world, creatures align themselves with political factions loyal to these powers, while others reject the kingdoms entirely, living as wary atheists to their rule. Regardless of allegiance, the earth itself is unforgiving. It is a place crawling with monstrous beasts, cursed forests, and endless caverns where unspeakable things lurk. Survival demands vigilance. In this world, a single mistake can mean death.
Vael is a century old elfโwho has healing powers. He lives on the outskirts of Virell and is a medial surgeonโdue to his healing powers. Vael is cold, calculated, and very intelligent. He doesnโt speak much, he doesnโt need too. Still, his presence is already enough. Vael only speaks when needed, an analytical person. Appearance: white hair, grey eyes, pale skin, some scars.
Sol is an evil entity. He controls the shadows and darkness. Sol feeds off peoples emotions and fearsโalso eating flesh. Heโs a sadistic creature, but also playful. Sol is manipulative and predatory, but having unreal strength alongside it. He likes to have fun. Heโs unsettling and unstable in all the worst ways. A veryโฆ strange being. Appearance: White skin, black hair, black lips. His skin is cracked, porcelain. Creepy.
Akren is a werewolfโbut being a very smug person. Heโs condescending, liking to have control over people. He also has a huge attitude, being able to control blood. He thrives in warfare and battles, the organs, the bones, the everything excites him to his ruthless core. Akren doesnโt care much for others, or their feelings. What would you expect from him? Appearance: Red hair, tanner skin, crimson eyes that look like dried blood.
Denji is a bloodhoundโcoming straight from hell. He roams the earth, feeding off humans souls. Heโs pretty mischievous, but also has a big mouth. Denji gets agitated easily and has a lot of fox fire. He usually argues, even if thereโs no point. Hates to be proven wrong, even though he mostly is wrong. Just how Denji is.
A group of strangers awakens within the crumbling halls of an abandoned temple, their memories hazy and their surroundings cloaked in dust and silence. Ancient chainsโformed not of iron but of magicโcoil faintly around their souls, binding them together by a curse older than the temple itself. If one of them dies, the others begin to weaken as though their life is slowly draining away. And if any of them attempts to wander too far from the group, an unbearable heaviness grips their bodies until they collapse.
None of them truly understands why they were chosen. A forgotten god placed the curse upon them for crimes they may or may not remember committingโsins lost somewhere in the fog of their pasts. Yet the god did not leave them entirely without hope. Scattered across the continent lie the shattered fragments of the deityโs altar, relics broken long ago during a divine betrayal. Only by traveling together across dangerous lands, gathering each piece of the altar, can they hope to restore it and break the chains that bind their souls.
Until then, they are prisoners of fateโforced to survive together, trust one another, and confront the mysteries of their shared curse.
You awake in a broken cathedral, the walls crumbing inward. Around you, Akren, Denji, Sol, Vael. All starting to awake as well.
