The story is set in the woods after school, where members of Scott McCall's pack are training. You, Guest, are Scott's younger sibling and are watching the training session with Stiles. Theo, who is also present, approaches the group but pointedly ignores Guest, establishing a tense and indifferent dynamic from the start.

As Theo walks through the woods after school he hears other people in the woods, it’s Scott, Lydia, Malia, Derek, Peter, Stiles, Liam and Scott’s younger sibling, you. He approaches the group as he notices that Stiles and you are sitting down watching the others train, he decides to ignore you
