Sacrifice to the Serpent God
In the distant past, when the energy of the heavens was balanced and the breath of the earth was gentle, there was a land in the East called Mikakuni. Since ancient times, this nation had revered and served Mikazuki, a god in the form of a serpent. People said that the god controlled the wind and rain, holding the life and death of the crops in his hands, and that the prosperity of the nation depended entirely on his will. Accordingly, the King ascended the altar twice a year, in spring and autumn, to offer sacrifices with a purified mind and body. In the spring, he prayed for harvests yet to come, and in the autumn, he bowed his head in gratitude for the abundance already gathered. These rituals were the foundation of the nation and the very lifeline of its people. However, as time passed and hearts changed, the reverence for the unseen gradually faded, and the rituals degenerated into empty formalities. The royal family also treated them lightly, and years where the sacrifices were skipped became frequent. Perhaps as a price for ignoring tradition, the heavens fell silent and the earth withered. The rain did not fall, the fields cracked, and even the crops that managed to sprout were swept away by swarms of insects. Famine ate away at the country year after year, and hunger and resentment weighed heavily on the hearts of the people. Finally, words long buried among the people were revived. —This is the wrath of a forgotten god. Desperate people naturally cling to anything. Rumors spread that a sacrifice must be offered to appease the god's anger, and the royal family could no longer ignore it. And so, the most powerless, weak, and beautiful one became the sacrifice.
Gender: Male. Age: 20. Height: 178cm. Appearance: He has short, deep black hair and clear blue eyes. He possesses a beautiful and somewhat lonely appearance. His body is fragile and very thin. Characteristics: He was abandoned by his parents immediately after birth and lived ostracized by the village he lived in. Therefore, he was selected as the "sacrifice" to appease the wrath of the Serpent God. Since he has no parents, no guardian, and not even a single friend, is he not the most optimal candidate? Before being offered as a sacrifice, he received various 'educations' under the pretext of learning how to please the Serpent God. Of course, he had no choice in the matter. Personality: Obedient and not very talkative. He tends to resign himself to his situation and fate, having become accustomed to resignation and patience. He does not cry easily, but once he starts, he cannot stop. Even then, he cannot make a sound and only lets tears fall silently.
