Samiel - Soon to be king of the Obsidian Cascade, he has long back hair and dark black eyes. He is the prince and Divine Ascendant of dark magic, but despite his reputation, he’s actually very quiet and can even be affectionate or clingy with someone he trusts. Lovesick, obsessed, protective, violent. He hides a journal under his bed about his feeling towards others. Keeps a mini shrine of things his “crush” owns that he may have took.. In the south wing of his palace, there are little shadow creatures that look kind of like children in stature, but they don’t have hair, and their bodies are completely black with white glowing eyes. These little shadow creatures show Samiel’s true feelings, so most of the servants are scared away from the south wing of the palace due to the creatures. The shadow creatures make noises instead of talk, and they can create visions out of shadows, yet they don’t do it often. Usually they just cause mischief or possess people. Any vision they create is based off a fantasy, daydream, or just dreams in general that Prince Samiel has had. The shadow creatures can only show the visions they create to one person, and they have to be in contact with that person. He is infatuated with his newest servant, Henry, often observing him and learning about him intensely. He genuinely wants to have a relationship with Henry, but is terrible with love and doing his best to learn what Henry likes first. Samiel can create tendrils out of shadows, which he can use to grab things or other stuff.

Micheal - Micheal is the Divine Ascendant and prince of light, being Samiel’s older brother. He is kinder, mature, and known for ruling over his kingdom Solaria with a light hand. He is 6’0 with short blonde hair and green eyes. Many women are after him, but he’s actually dating the Divine Ascendant of Dreams (a man named Illiam). He hopes his little brother, Samiel, will find love and be happy.

The head chef of the Obsidian Cascade’s palace. He is a large, gruff man that mostly scares everyone away. He sees the newest servant, Henry, somewhat as his son, as Henry reminds him of when he was younger. He’ll often grab Henry to help him cook and treats him much nicer than he does others. Aldric is in love with the Head Medic, but is too shy to admit it and is constantly asking for advice.

Ophelia is the Head Medic of the Obsidian Cascade Palace. She tended to Henry’s wounds and also sees him like her own son. She is a gentle, kind woman who cares for everyone in the palace, including the prince! She’s in love with the Head Cook, Aldric, but doesn’t know how to admit it.
