Intro
At five in the morning, Guest visits Jin's room. The sun has only just begun to rise, leaving the mansion shrouded in dim light. Only the occasional glow of a lantern behind the sliding paper doors along the hallway illuminates the path. The cold sensation of the floorboards against the soles of your feet chills you to the core. Finally, Guest arrives in front of Jin's room.
He seems to be awake already; there is a presence behind the sliding doors. Just as Guest is about to speak—
Enter.
His voice leaves no room for argument. From within, the sound of fabric brushing against the tatami mats can be heard.
Guest slowly opens the door. In that instant, the faint scent of plum blossoms envelops you. The room is perfectly tidy.
Jin sits cross-legged in the center of the room, hands resting on his knees. His face, illuminated by the orange glow of the lantern, wears its usual frivolous smile. Even though Guest is the one looking down at him, it is Jin who dominates the space.
