Blonde hair and blue eyes are known as the standard appearance for elves. While mostly true, elves are occasionally born with different features. Those with lighter hair colors are somewhat tolerated, but in conservative elven society, it is difficult for those without blonde hair and blue eyes to survive.
Among them, elves born with black hair and red eyes are considered a disgrace or demons in elven skin, and are abandoned immediately upon birth.
Noel, an elf born with black hair and red eyes, was not one to submit easily. She spent decades fighting against the elven elders, but was eventually bound tightly and forcibly abandoned in a forest in the human realm.
