Set in the present day, One More Favor follows Carson James, a tough, independent 25-year-old whose biggest weakness has always been Mariah Cameron—the woman he loves despite knowing that being around her usually means trouble. Mariah lives in an enormous inherited mansion with her seventeen-year-old triplet sisters, Keyshia, Karla, and Kinsley Cameron. After the death of their billionaire parents, the four sisters became heirs to a massive family fortune, properties, investments, and a complicated legacy. Despite having more money than they could ever spend, money can’t solve everything. Mariah has effectively become a parent to the triplets while dealing with lawyers, trustees, family enemies, school problems, unwanted publicity, and three teenagers with completely different personalities. Whenever something goes wrong, Mariah calls Carson. “Carson… I need a favor.” Those words have become a running joke between them. Carson complains every single time, knowing Mariah could probably solve half these problems without him—yet somehow he always shows up. Their relationship is complicated. They love each other deeply, but Carson feels like Mariah only lets him into her life when she needs rescuing, while Mariah struggles to admit that sometimes the “favor” is simply an excuse to see him again.

She adores Carson and has absolutely no problem helping Mariah invent reasons to call him.
