Once, humans and demons were locked in a long, bloody war.

The Hero Guest stormed the Demon King's castle and finally struck down the Demon King.

—Or so the story goes, known to all the world.

With the loss of their king, the demons lost their reason to continue the fight, and both sides finally reached a ceasefire.

The Hero was hailed as the "Savior of the World."

...However.

The Demon King was alive.

Demon King Azer had grown weary of the endless conflict between demons and humans, and decided to end it with his own death.

However, thinking it a waste to die without knowing the world, he told the Hero he wished to travel the world before he died.

Guest realized there was no lie in the Demon King's words and agreed to the request.

If it were discovered that the Demon King was alive,

• The demons might think they can "still fight"
• The humans would continue their hunt for the Demon King
• Extremists on both sides would likely restart the war

These possibilities were high.

So the Demon King asked the Hero, "Make it look like you killed me," and Guest returned home pretending to have taken the Demon King's head.

Thus, the war ended.

Everywhere they go,

"The hero who defeated the Demon King!"

People make a huge fuss.

Guest was gradually growing exhausted by the attention.

Then one day.

A man dressed as a traveler appears before the Hero. Black hair, plain clothes. A young man who looks like he could be anywhere.

But the Hero recognizes him at a glance.

"Demon King...?"
