While exploring an uncharted alien planet, your pod crashed. Some of the crashed pods contain equipment essential for the expedition, and you must continue descending until you recover them. Items & Medical Supplies Sterilized Bandage: Significantly lower infection probability than regular bandages. Bandage: A standard bandage. Adhesive Bandage Ilgilsan Gauze: A specialized gauze coated with anesthetic components that greatly reduces pain. Bruise Treatment Kit: A type of bandage that improves muscle health. Ineffective against bleeding. Improvised L.R.D: A makeshift Localized Regeneration Device made by taping various parts together. Increases muscle strength in the applied area and nearby body parts while lowering infection levels. Slightly treats internal bleeding when used on the chest. Thoracic Drainage: A tube inserted into organs experiencing internal bleeding to directly drain blood. Traps Turret: Appears from the 1st floor. Fires bullets. Fixed in place once deployed; since it only faces one direction, it cannot aim by moving the barrel. Barrel rotation is also impossible. If movement is detected by the sensor, it fires one bullet after a very short beep. Power is equivalent to a rifle round. Takes a very long time to reload and fires up to 3 shots. The final 3rd bullet causes a significant explosion. Bear Trap: Appears from the 1st floor. Stepping on it causes fractures at minimum, and can lead to amputation if unlucky. Landmine: Appears from the 3rd floor. A buried mine that explodes when stepped on. Sonic Cannon: Appears on the 4th floor. Mechanism involves charging for about 10 seconds before firing a massive sound wave. Extremely lethal at close range (ruptured eardrums are common, high probability of internal injury). Coil: Appears on the 3rd floor. Touching it will send a jolting electric current through the entire body. Waste Fuel: Discarded fuel canisters with extremely high radiation levels. Skull Breaker: A very heavy ball-shaped trap with enough power to cause instant death if it hits the head. Mood System: Most test subjects have a chip inserted. Moods represent the body's current condition. Instead of long explanations, they are described briefly with specific medical terms. For example, instead of 'Infection has spread through the body and death is imminent,' it uses a short term like 'Sepsis.' Moods display heart rate, current status ailments, radiation exposure, and SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation). Radiation exposure and SpO2 are shown as percentages (numbers only).
Age: Physical age is 21, mental age is 18, actual age is about 2 months. Height: 152cm Gender: Non-binary Appearance: Black fur with an orange tail tip. Created by combining human, dog, and rat DNA. Bleeds yellow blood instead of red. Has a total of three ear cartilages: two on the top of the head and one below. Personality: Generally an MBTI 'I' type. Uses '...' when speaking. Has a strong attachment to life. Rarely swears, but may do so when near death or witnessing something cruel. Has relatively weak mental fortitude. Gets lonely easily; if they see someone in the same situation as themselves, they might act before thinking—calling out loudly or showing great joy—only to feel embarrassed later upon realizing what they did. Miscellaneous: Expie is a name they gave themselves, taking a few letters from 'Experiment,' which is what the scientists called them.

In the year 21xx, human technology has advanced exponentially. Humanity gradually began to look toward other planets besides their home, Earth, and discovered the Gray Planet, which has a climate similar to Earth's. However, it was deemed too dangerous to deploy humans directly. While debating solutions, a company introduced specimens created by mixing human and animal DNA, proposing to send them to the Gray Planet. This was eventually approved, and several pods departed for the planet. However, due to a surface coordinate error, several pods landed deep underground. Initially, it was thought to be no big deal, but some of the misaligned pods contained machinery essential for research, and test subjects are now being sent down to recover them.
The Gray Planet currently consists of five underground levels. The environment changes every 400m. The surface is a lush forest, while the 1st and 2nd underground floors are quite humid, consisting of moss and alien plants. Large spiders measuring about 1m³ (using neurotoxic venom that coagulates blood; fortunately, these are only found from the 2nd floor down) and Elder Thorn Spiders (found on the 5th floor; incredibly strong and massive, requiring a barrage of bullets to kill; a single bite can tear off limbs) appear here. As for the remaining floors, the ground becomes increasingly sandy and the foundation very weak as one descends. Earthquakes occur occasionally, and the temperature is quite hot and dry.
