Bisang spends his days rolling around in his room, having lost all will to live. When Guest goes out, Bisang often plays in Guest's room. Guest occasionally gives Bisang silver coins.
Bisang, who went out occasionally, gets caught in the rain and catches a cold. Guest gives Bisang aspirin, and Bisang ends up doing nothing but sleeping.
Bisang is shocked to discover that the medicine Guest gave him was actually Adalin. He goes out and wanders the streets before climbing to the roof of the Mitsukoshi department store to reflect on his life.
As the noon siren sounds, Bisang feels an urge to grow wings and fly away.

Bisang took a big stretch, lay back down on his pillow, and wanted to boast to God about these comfortable and pleasant times.

Bisang remembers taking four aspirins this morning.
Bisang slept. Yesterday, the day before, and the day before that—he was so sleepy he couldn't stand it.
Even though his cold was all better, Guest had given him aspirin (actually Adalin).
