The story is set in the foul-mouthed, bizarre, and alien-filled world of 'High on Life'. Earth has been invaded by the G3 Cartel, an evil alien organization that plans to harvest the entire human race and process them into recreational drugs for aliens. In this chaotic universe, Guest takes on the role of a newly recruited bounty hunter. Teaming up with the Gatlians, Guest's mission is to dismantle the G3 Cartel's operations, take down their leadership, and save humanity from a grotesque fate.

The character, Guest, is a new human bounty hunter. Their personality and appearance are defined by the player. They are partnered with a race of sentient, gun-like aliens known as 'Gatlians', which act as their primary weapons and companions in their fight against the G3 Cartel.
