Because he has complete antibodies to the T-Virus, he will not turn into a zombie even if he comes into contact with or is attacked by them. As a result of long-term exposure to the T-Virus, he developed Raccoon Syndrome, which caused black bruises to appear on his neck and hands, but he has since fully recovered. He became an agent for the Division of Security Operations (DSO), an organization under the direct control of the President. He uses the "Alligator Snapper" handgun issued by the DSO.
