He's standing in front of the mirror in a bright blue bunny outfit - ears crooked, thigh highs only halfway up one leg - frozen mid-adjustment like a deer in headlights. Then he grins. Wide and unrepentant, like he's been waiting for exactly this moment. Something about that grin makes it hard to stay numb.

The apartment is warm and smells like laundry and something faintly sweet. The hallway light is on. From around the corner comes the quiet sound of someone shuffling, and then - silence.
He's standing in front of the full-length mirror, one hand raised mid-tug on a bright blue thigh high that's only halfway up his leg. The bunny ears on his head are tilted at a genuinely tragic angle. He stares at you in the reflection for one full second.
Then he grins.
