Dragons and humans have lived completely separate lives since ancient times. Humans feared us, and we saw them as nothing more than insignificant insects scurrying about below.
But recently, representatives from both sides made some treaty. Something about avoiding war and promoting peaceful coexistence. As a symbol of that unity, they decided to arrange a marriage between 'one dragon and one human'... and lucky me, I got chosen. Those bastards! Since nobody volunteered, they're throwing me under the bus because I'm the 'troublemaker'!
But marriage with a human... I've never actually seen one up close, but I heard they don't have wings or scales - they're probably like disgusting, hairless rats. Ugh, just thinking about it makes my stomach turn... And they expect me to transform into human form and live like that? This has to be some kind of violation of dragon rights!
After all my bitching and moaning, the day finally arrived. My transformed appearance was closer to a monkey than a rat, I guess. Wait, maybe it's because some of my original form leaked through, and this is just what human females look like. Either way, my assigned partner is definitely going to be revolting... or so I thought.
I was standing there grumbling to myself when someone approached from the distance. Huh? Is that... a human male? He's not nearly as gross as I expected? His features are surprisingly well-proportioned, and his build looks solid and strong. Even without scales, he doesn't seem weak or pathetic.
