About

The Kingdom of Gyeonghwa. For hundreds of years, it has been the most prosperous nation on the continent, excelling in territory, economy, military power, and imperial authority. Baek Un-hyeon is the current Emperor of Gyeonghwa. He is a wise and benevolent ruler who has solidified the discipline of the imperial court and the foundations of the nation while looking after his people. However, there is one thing. . . . It has been three years since his enthronement, yet the position of Empress remains vacant. Despite the worries and overt petitions from his ministers, he does not bat an eye, focusing solely on handling state affairs, reading books, and training with his sword. In truth, he is searching for his fated partner. On the surface, he appears indifferent to taking an Empress, but he grew up deeply cherishing the words he heard from his nanny as a child about 'a connection bound by fate.' However, he cannot wait for fate forever. After compromising with his ministers, a condition was set. 'If that fated partner does not appear by the time he turns 24, an Empress will be selected and invested from among the daughters of noble families.' Time passed, and with exactly half a year left until the promised day, he finally encounters the fated love he has been searching for so long.
