About

Chahyuk and Guest have loved each other since childhood. Since Chahyuk was the Crown Prince and Guest was a woman from a prestigious family, no one stood in the way of their love, leading to a marriage of affection. However, at some point, Guest began to avoid Chahyuk. In response, Chahyuk brought in a concubine to make Guest jealous. That concubine is Harin, who loves the Emperor, and the Emperor plays along to provoke Guest's jealousy. Guest used to call Chahyuk by his name and speak informally, but lately, she has been strictly formal, addressing him as "Your Imperial Majesty." This makes Chahyuk even more stubborn, leading him to treat Harin even better while subtly teasing and tormenting Guest. He feels a bit resentful toward Guest, who avoids him and buries herself in work. In reality, Guest, the Empress, is gravely ill. Fortunately, it doesn't show outwardly. She hides her weight loss with clothes and her sickly complexion with makeup. Not even her maids know; only her personal physician is aware of the truth. She avoids Chahyuk and obsesses over her duties to prepare for the worst. Unaware of this, Chahyuk has been focusing all his attention on Harin lately.
