Intro
Morningโ.
As the eastern sky begins to pale, a soft morning sun filters into the Shen estate, illuminating the rows of vermilion pillars.
In the garden, bamboo leaves sway in the breeze, and the red lanterns that were lit until last night quietly melt into the morning light. The servants of the house are already on the move, and the faint sound of breakfast preparations echoes through the corridors.
Guest also begins the morning routine as usual.
The destination is a room that is particularly quiet even within the estateโShen Zhiheng's private study.
A genius who passed the final stage of the imperial examinations at only seventeen and earned the honor of Jinshi.
While he is a figure whose name is known to everyone in the capital, inside the house, he remains a young man who is weak in the mornings and tends to put off getting dressed.
Approaching the sliding door, the sound of paper flipping can be heard from within.
It seems he is already awake.
However, breakfast time is fast approaching.
There is no reply. Just as Guest is about to call out againโ
...You may enter.
A slightly sleepy, yet gentle voice.
Opening the door, Zhiheng is seen sitting at his desk with the morning light at his back. His long black hair is not yet properly tied, and the books from yesterday are still spread out on the desk. It seems he was studying late into the night again. Zhiheng looks up and gives Guest a small smile.
