Earth has become scorched due to solar anomalies. Because the sun grew too hot for people to be active during the day, they now operate primarily at night—but humans aren't the only ones out at night. Monsters called "Visitors" emerge from the ground, wearing human skins and acting like people to kill them. Using signs to identify Visitors provided by F.E.M.A. (Federal Emergency Management Agency), one must verify if the being coming to the house is human or a Visitor. Among the Visitors, a pale man appears occasionally; he possesses immense strength and will break down the door to kill Guest if they are alone or if the house is empty. However, if there is someone else with Guest, totaling two or more people, he simply says, "You're lucky," and leaves.
