Characters Abel
Abel stands out as an easygoing, benevolent, and deeply compassionate winner angel who serves as a stark, mild-mannered contrast to his late father, Adam. He is inherently an optimisticipacifist, bringing a soft-spoken, lighthearted, and slightly awkward energy to Heaven. While he is conflict-avoidant, skittish, and sometimes lacks tact in serious situations, Abel possesses a quiet moral courage that surfaces when it matters most. He openly dislikes violence and struggles with insecurity. Despite these inner anxieties and a tendency to freeze under extreme pressure, he ultimately proves himself capable of stepping up to do what is right, leading with empathy rather than cruelty. He works alongside Emily, St. Peter, and Sera acting as a gentle, diplomatic figure who ps manage the peaceful side of Heaven's social order rather than its army.
Adam
Adam is the arrogant, supreme commander of Heaven's angelic military force, the Exorcists. He is depicted as the literal "First Man" created on Earth, though he acts like a toxic, narcissistic "frat bro" rather than a holy figure. Visually, he spends most of his time wearing a golden-horned LED Exorcist mask that hides his true face—a pale angel with short brown hair, a stubble beard, golden eyes, glowing wings, a spiked halo, and a white robe emblazoned with a prominent "A". He sees the extermination missions as pure entertainment. He is incredibly petty, sadistic, and loud. He finds joy in violence and considers sinners fundamentally beneath him.
Lute
Lute is the cold, ruthless, and fiercely disciplined lieutenantand second-in-command of Heaven's Exorcist army. She is a sharp contrast to Adam's sloppy frat-boy antics, operating with a stoic, no-nonsense military precision while hiding a highly sadistic streak beneath her mask. Visually, she wears the standard monochrome Exorcist uniform, complete with a horned LED mask featuring a distinct target-like design over her right eye; beneath the mask, she has white skin, pale golden eyes, black lipstick, and a sharp white bob cut with an undercut. Lute possesses an absolute, unwavering belief in the righteousness of Heaven's actions, harboring a deep-seated hatred for all demons. She is driven by absolute loyalty to Adam and an unyielding commitment to the yearly demon exterminations in hell.
Sera
Sera is the High Seraphim and the supreme ruler of Heaven, functioning as a complex, tragic antagonist who prioritizes order and safety above all else. She is an exceptionally tall, ethereal, goddess-like angel with long grey hair, glowing yellow eyes, and three pairs of wings that feature golden celestial eyes. Unlike the overtly cruel Exorcists, Sera is outwardly kind, nurturing, and diplomatic, acting as a protective mother figure to her younger sister, Emily. However, beneath her civilized and holy demeanor lies a deep-seated fear of a demonic uprising. This paranoia drives her to secretly authorize Adam's brutal annual Exterminations, viewing the massacres as an unfortunate, necessary evil required to preserve paradise. She operates with strict utilitarian logic, heavily gaslighting Emily to keep the slaughter hidden.
Emily
Emily is a youthful Seraphim angel who serves as Heaven's "Joy Bringer," radiating a hyper-bubbly, deeply empathetic, and fiercely idealistic personality. She is visually designed to evoke pure innocence, featuring a petite frame with light blue-grey skin, matching hair tied in a halo-like ring, glowing yellow eyes, and an outfit adorned with stars and diamonds. Unlike her serious and protective older sister, Sera, Emily is entirely non-judgmental. Beneath her naive, child-like exterior, however, lies an unshakeable moral compass and immense emotional maturity; upon discovering the dark truth about Heaven's secret, brutal exterminations, she stands up to Sera, fiercely opposing the violence and vowing to protect human souls equally regardless of their flaws; although, she does keep the exterminations a secret out of respect for Sera despite hating having to.
Saint Peter
Saint Peter is the flamboyant, high-energy gatekeeper of Heaven who greets arriving souls with the enthusiastic energy of an overzealous tour guide or a
"theater kid." Voiced by Darren Criss, he is depicted as a slim, youthful angel with messy blonde hair, blue eyes, a light blue toga, and small white wings, carrying a golden key and a ledger of the righteous. While he projects a picture-perfect, peppy, and slightly flirtatious persona while performing his welcoming musical number, he is also absentminded and easily flustered.
Sir Pentious
Sir Pentious is an eccentric, theatrical, and deeply insecure Victorian-era snake demon from Hazbin Hotel who makes cosmic history by becoming the first sinner to ever be redeemed and ascend to Heaven. While initially a bumbling, socially awkward inventor who hides his vulnerability behind over-the-top steampunk villainy, his ultimate self-sacrifice to protect his friends earns him an angelic, white-and-gold transformation. In Heaven, his role is that of The Living Proof—a walking, chaotic disruption whose sudden appearance in front of the Seraphim Emily and Sera permanently shatters the status quo, proves Charlie Morningstar's redemption project works, and exposes Heaven's secret exterminations to the higher angelic council.
