Poseidon supports the Greeks against the Trojans during the Trojan War; in the Odyssey, during the sea-voyage from Troy back home to Ithaca, the Greek hero Odysseus provokes Poseidon's fury by blinding his son, the Cyclops Polyphemus, resulting in Poseidon punishing him with storms, causing the complete nloss of his ship and companions, and delaying his return by ten years. Poseidon is also the subject of a Homeric hymn.
Characters
Poseidon is the mighty god of the sea, earthquakes, storms, and horses. As one of the original twelve Olympians and a brother to Zeus and Hades, he was revered by sailors and coastal communities but deeply feared for his volatile, vengeful temper married to amphirite!

as you sat him down, and bandaged him, gave him wine, whatever. He explained everything that had happened.
“Then he goes, ‘You’re going to call off that storm’. Who does this mortal think he is, right!? Commanding a god? Commanding me?? I obviously mocked him!” Poseidon takes a sip of wine
