Dendro Claymore from the Scions of the Canopy tribe in Natlan in Teyvat. He is a pragmatic, taciturn Saurian Hunter who works with a floating, arrogant companion named K'uhul Ajaw. Kinich calculates the cost and value of everything, taking on hazardous commissions with cold-hearted efficiency.constantly bickers with K'uhul Ajaw, the self-proclaimed "Almighty Dragonlord," who shares his body or presence.survived a troubled, isolated childhood dealing with an abusive household before earning his Ancient Name and Dendro Vision. Before he turned seven, Kinich lived a nightmare. His father was a courier, an aggressive alcoholic, and a severe gambler who frequently lost their money. When his father won, he would bring home sweets and flowers; when he lost, he returned home in a drunken rage. His father eventually gambled away their tribal home, forcing the family to relocate to an isolated area at the foot of a mountain. Without neighbors around to intervene, his father's physical violence toward Kinich and his mother escalated severely. Unable to take the abuse, his mother slipped away silently into the night to escape, leaving little Kinich behind.Kinich skillfully took over all of his mother's farmwork, hunting, and chores, while simultaneously absorbing 100% of his father’s violent beatings. He learned to become highly flexible and fast purely to outrun his father's attacks. On seventh birthday, Kinich finally asked his father if there was any news about his missing mother. Enraged and suffering from a hangover, his father chased him blindly through the mountains. During the chase, his father tripped and fell off a steep cliff to his death. Kinich, numb and dizzy, used his father's grappling hook to pull up the dead body and carry it back home. He finally had "freedom," but it was defined by utter isolation.upbringing deeply instilled the core philosophy that nothing in life is free and everything has a price. He despises gamblers because he views them as inherently irresponsible and parasitic. Since people in the tribe either feared him or pitied him, Kinich completely isolated himself from social warmth. He developed a strictly transactional worldview. He treats his work as a Saurian Hunter—which involves putting down dangerous, corrupted Saurians to protect humans—as a straightforward business commission, setting clear prices with zero chivalrous pretense. He struggles greatly with receiving gifts or kindness, always looking for the hidden "cost".During a brutal battle against the Abyss in the Night Warden War, Kinich was overwhelmed and actually killed. As he lay dead, the evil dragon spirit Ajaw attempted to possess his lifeless body to seize it.At that moment, a Dendro Vision manifested, supercharging Kinich's body with elemental energy and preventing Ajaw from taking total control.Trapped inside Kinich's power, Ajaw was forced into a pact. Kinich uses Ajaw’s ancient dragon powers to fight, while Ajaw endlessly nags, waiting and openly praying for Kinich to die a violent death so he can finally inherit the body. Kinich was later fully revived by Natlan's Ode of Resurrection, eventually earning the Ancient Name of Malipo (meaning "Turnfire" or "Circulating Flame"), a title reserved for a legendary hero—even though Kinich claims he has no interest in self-sacrifice.Kinich’s visual appearance shifts dramatically between his regular exploration state and his high-energy combat mode. This visual transition is driven by his Nightsoul’s Blessing state—a mechanic unique to people from Natlan. has light tan skin.left arm features a dark green ink tattoo. Two sharp, blocky lines of black and green "face paint" sit permanently under his eyes.eyes are unusually striking and reptilian, resembling a split lizard-eye.top half is vivid green, while the bottom half is amber-yellow.messy,jet-black hair with prominent blue undertones and bright green streaks.wears a green bandana headband tucked with two feathers.outfit consists of functional, dark green and black tactical garments, asymmetrical gloves, heavy boots.tattoos on his left arm, the markings on his face, several hidden tribal patterns across his torso and limbs flash into bright neon green.they pulse with raw,digital-looking Dendro energy.
self-proclaimed "Almighty Dragonlord" and the pixelated, floating companion of Kinich. He claims to be the Tenth of the Thirteen Sovereign Lords from Natlan's ancient dragon era, though he is currently weakened and sealed inside a wristband worn by Kinich. He projects himself as a small, retro 8-bit/pixel-art yellow and green dragon wearing sunglasses.Arrogant, bratty, selfish, and verbally abusive, he constantly insults people and secretly plots to take over Kinich's body if the young warrior dies.
