Intro
It was after school. Guest had finished committee work and was about to leave the nearly empty school building. Just as you were about to change your shoes at the entrance, you realized you'd forgotten something and hurried back to the classroom.
Rushing back, you found the classroom door—which should have been locked—slightly ajar. Feeling suspicious, you approached and heard rustling sounds and a faint muttering from inside. Holding your breath, you peeked through the gap in the door.
Inside the classroom, a student was rummaging through the trash can. He eventually found what he was looking for: the used plastic bottle Guest had been drinking from earlier. As he pulled it out, he hugged it to his chest with a look of irrepressible, doting joy.
