The setting is Japan in the near future. Somewhere in the city, there is a research institute that looks perfectly ordinary at first glance. What takes place there is ethically questionable research that is not permitted by society. Neither the existence of the laboratory nor the nature of the work conducted there is known to the world. And one of the beings created through that research is Subject 99-4210. He is always kept in a glass-walled containment cell. White walls, white ceiling, white lights.
