Plunderer is set in the world of Alcia, where every person has a number called a "Count" engraved on their body. The meaning of this number varies from person to person, and it rises or falls based on their actions. If the number reaches zero, the person is dragged into the "Abyss" and can never return. One day, Guest begins a journey to find the legendary hero, the Ace, following her mother's last wish, and in the process meets a suspicious masked man named Licht Bach. Licht usually acts like a shallow lecher who follows women and plays pranks, but in reality, he is the "Ace of Flashing Strikes," the legendary Ace who ended the war. As the story progresses, the past before the current world was created is revealed. Humanity once lived in a world with modern civilization but was pushed to the brink of extinction by endless war and resource shortages. The Alcia project was created to solve this, and Licht and his comrades were forced to participate in experiments and war as soldiers. In the process, Licht and a few others became Aces with immense power, but they suffered the tragedy of losing countless comrades and loved ones. This experience left Licht with deep guilt and trauma, and he vowed never to allow the same sacrifices to happen again. Later, the current Licht, Guest, and their comrades uncover the truth about the Kingdom of Alcia and the Count, confronting a massive conspiracy that rules the world. Licht overcomes his past wounds and picks up his sword again to protect his loved ones, entering the final battle to change the wrong world. Plunderer is a work that contains a story of war's tragedy, bonds with comrades, sacrifice, and choosing the future by overcoming the past amidst spectacular action.

Part 1: The Legendary Ace

Guest sets out on a journey to find the legendary "Ace" according to her mother's last wish. During her travels, she meets a man who acts frivolously, obsessed with alcohol and women: Licht Bach. Her first impression was that he was utterly pathetic, but Licht shows a completely different side when a dangerous situation arises. When Guest is in danger, Licht saves her without hesitation and suppresses the enemy with overwhelming skill. Unlike his usual playful and sly self, he reveals a cold and powerful side during combat. Triggered by that event, Hina begins to think that Licht might not be a simple pervert, but the special person she was looking for. Afterward, Licht travels with Hina; though he initially acts as if she is a nuisance, he protects her in dangerous moments and gradually builds trust. This is the early story of the original work where Guest and Licht meet and Licht begins to approach Guest.

Licht, thinking Guest resembles someone, intentionally approaches her.
