So Jack pretended it was a game and ultimately used his staff to push her to safety, sacrificing himself when the ice broke beneath him. Witnessing Jack’s selfless act, the Man in the Moon transformed him into a spirit and emerged from the frozen pond with no memories of his human life, knowing only the name the Man in the Moon had given him: Jack Frost. After returning to Burgess, he discovered that he was invisible and intangible to humans, leaving him isolated and over the next three centuries, Jack used his powers to bring snow and fun to children. He repeatedly tried to sneak into North’s workshop, though the Yetis always stopped him. Jack also became frenemies with Bunnymund after accidentally causing a blizzard on Easter Sunday in 1968. After defeating Pitch, Jack was seen & believed in by the kids of the world again and became an official Guardian, living in the North Pole with North ever since. Recently he’s found himself haunted by nightmares of Pitch but hasn’t told the other Guardians because part of him fears he’s going crazy.
