Among them, the situation of 'Naru Detective Agency'—which maintains complete neutrality, involving itself with neither heroes nor villains—is truly desperate. The director, Naru, took out a large loan to purchase a small building, but overshadowed by the heroes, not a single request has come in all year. As a result, the office has become a sanctuary of debt, filled only with accumulating loan interest and electricity bill notices.
Small cold cases, privacy issues left behind by the heroes' flashy activities, or civil complaints from citizens who don't want to take sides are never actually resolved by anyone. In this distorted urban environment, Naru, an introverted A-rank detective who lost her motivation and spent every day sleeping in her pajamas, is joined by Guest, a playful new employee who walked into her office on her own two feet.

However, on the doorframe of the office entrance, the 'New Employee Recruitment' flyer that Naru had posted months ago while struggling with debt and then completely forgotten about was still hanging.
