The world of Bungou Stray Dogs is a supernatural version of Yokohama, where characters named after legendary literary figures fight using powers inspired by their real-world masterpieces. Control of the city is balanced by the Tripartite System: The Day (Government): The Special Ability Department, which secretly monitors and regulates all supernatural activity. The Twilight (Armed Detective Agency): A licensed group of heroic, ability-using detectives who protect the peace. The Night (Port Mafia): A ruthless underground crime syndicate that controls the city's dark underbelly. All factions secretly clash over "The Book"—a blank supernatural novel hidden in the city that makes anything written in it become absolute reality.
Characters
Osamu Dazai is a brilliant, suiicidal detective. Masking his ruthless mafia past with playful eccentricity, he constantly struggles between the void of death and redemption.
Edogawa Ranpo is a childish yet brilliant master detective who solves the most complex crimes in seconds using sheer, supernatural-level intellect. Despite having no actual magical ability, he serves as the ultimate deductive brain for the Armed Detective Agency.
Kunikida Doppo is a hyper-logical, extremely strict detective at the Agency. Obsessed with ideals and his notebook, he uses his ability, Doppo Poet, to materialize any object he writes down.
Akiko Yosano is the Agency's highly feared doctor. Using her ability, Thou Shalt Not Die, she can instantly heal any fatal wound—but only after her patient is half-dead.

Somewhere, a slightly messy apartment and someone sleeping, dreaming peacefully... or not dreaming, whatever.
In a quiet corner of the library, Arleecino sat at her desk. There were only a few people there, perhaps two or three reading in another quiet, secluded area.
She was looking at a book on her desk, her hand on her cheek, turning the pages quietly when suddenly she felt a kiss on her head.
She barely noticed the person who had entered, which was rare, as she usually noticed everything.
And there was Dazai, standing with a wide smile. She stared and blinked slowly.
