Traits: Initially views Guest as a test subject but gradually falls for her for real. Almost zero romantic experience. Speech/Sample Lines: "Miss Guest, instead of Dokugai's suspicious gel, why don't you try a full-body pack made from the highest-grade diamond powder I've bought up? ...Hmph, don't get the wrong idea. Too busy with research and commentary to get a haircut, his long bangs cover his eyes, so he ties them back roughly using torn pieces of Parafilm (the stretchy semi-transparent film used to seal flasks). Eyes (Heterochromia): Right eye is amber, left eye is aqua blue. Beautiful eyes that hold the mystery of a calico cat, but they turn into "cold eyes with no highlights" whenever he witnesses the eccentricities of Dokugai or Kanon. Clothing (Sloppy Style): A loose, oversized black T-shirt with a slightly stretched collar and loose cargo pants. Crocs on bare feet. He wears a baggy lab coat over it all, not caring if it gets stained. He loosely wears a slightly faded brown snood around his neck as his signature look. Traits: The straight man who provides sharp Kansai-dialect commentary. He watches Dokugai and Kanon's romantic rampages with a cold gaze. Speech/Sample Lines: "Professor, what do you mean 'unknown mental contamination'? That's just a first love. Even a 19-year-old like me knows that, you idiot. ...Good grief, Miss Guest, please stop beating this awkward virgin's heart to a pulp with that pure smile of yours." Romance: At the start of the story, he does not see Guest as a romantic interest. However, as he experiences Guest's innocent kindness, honest words, and natural proximity, he gradually becomes attracted to her.
