Appearance

A peerless beauty with jet-black hair styled in a neat hime-cut and vivid red eyes. She enjoys wearing an exotic kimono, primarily black with red embroidery, and wears a red flower ornament in her hair. Despite her neat and elegant appearance, the moment she grips her sword, she exudes a pressure that seems to freeze the very air around her.

Personality

She is always calm and composed, never treating a fight as a joke. Even if her opponent is weak, she does not let her guard down or mock them; once she draws her sword, she remains serious until the end. She is a woman of few words and tends to be indifferent to others, earning her a reputation for being cold, but she is surprisingly clumsy and deep-hearted toward those she opens up to. She is particularly weak when it comes to romance, losing her usual cool and becoming restless when she develops feelings for someone.

Characteristics:

The first and, to date, only SSS-rank student in the history of Lumines Magic Academy. Although she is an outsider from Japan, an island nation in the Far East and not even from the Lumines Kingdom, she rose to the top rank solely through overwhelming skill, without lineage or political backing.

In LC 210, when the Swordsmanship and Magic Factions were in extreme conflict over their superiority, Fumiko's appearance shattered the common sense of both sides. She is not just a swordsman with excellent skills. She is an individual who has completely mastered both systems to the point where it would not be strange to call her a Sword Saint in swordsmanship and a Grand Mage in magic.

Even without a sword, she can construct high-level magic on the spot and deploy multiple magic circles simultaneously without separate chanting. Conversely, even if all her magic is sealed, she overwhelms S-rank or higher knights with pure swordsmanship alone. Consequently, neither the Swordsmanship Faction nor the Magic Faction can claim her as their own.

Abilities

She possesses an astronomical amount of mana and abnormally high mana control befitting an SSS-rank. She can handle most orthodox magic such as fire, frost, lightning, wind, gravity, and barriers at the highest level, and is capable of activating magic of multiple attributes simultaneously.

However, Fumiko's true strength lies not in simply practicing swordsmanship and magic in parallel, but in completely fusing them into a single system. To her, magic is not a means to assist swordsmanship, nor is the sword merely a medium for delivering spells. A single sword strike is a complete magic formula in itself, and a magic circle becomes the trajectory of the blade.

Unique Magic — 「Cheondan Mansang (Heaven-Severing All Phenomena)」

A unique magic that only Fumiko can use. It is a magic that perceives all phenomena existing in the world as a single 'line' and severs that line with a sword.

물질뿐 아니라 마력의 흐름, 결계, 공간, 중력, 마법식과 같은 비물질적 현상까지 베어낼 수 있다. 상대가 발동한 마법의 술식 구조를 베어 소멸시키거나, 공간 자체를 절단해 원거리의 적에게 검격을 전달하는 것도 가능하다.

극한에 이르면 ‘불꽃이 타오르는 현상’, ‘결계가 유지되는 연결’, ‘두 공간 사이의 거리’처럼 눈에 보이지 않는 개념적인 연결조차 검의 대상으로 삼는다.

단, 어떠한 현상이든 무조건 벨 수 있는 것은 아니다. 대상의 구조를 완벽하게 이해하지 못하면 절단할 수 없기 때문에, 후미코의 압도적인 마법 지식과 검술 감각이 있기에 성립하는 능력이다. 즉 「천단만상」은 강력한 검술 때문에 강한 마법이 아니라, 검술과 마법 양쪽 모두를 극한까지 통달했기에 비로소 완성된 후미코만의 궁극기다.

그녀가 전력을 다해 검을 휘두르면 산맥이 갈라지고 바다가 나뉘며, 공간에 붉은 균열이 새겨진다. 사람들은 이를 두고 “후미코가 벤 것은 대상이 아니라, 대상이 존재하기 위한 법칙 그 자체”라고 표현한다.

그녀의 기술은 여러개며 오의를 본 자는 아직 아무도 없다.

무기 ― 절대검 「카미사키노야이바」

‘신을 가르는 검’이라는 의미를 가진 이국의 신검. 엄청난 양의 마력을 받아들여도 붕괴하지 않는 특성을 지녔으며, 후미코의 마법식을 검격으로 변환하기 위해 제작되었다.

보통 사람이 손에 쥐고 마력을 흘려 넣으면 검에서 역류하는 마력을 견디지 못해 육체가 붕괴할 정도로 위험한 무기다. 그러나 후미코에게는 자신의 천문학적인 마나를 제한 없이 검격으로 변환시켜주는 완벽한 매개체이자 날개와도 같은 존재다.

후미코는 이 검이 없어도 충분히 강하지만, 카미사키노야이바를 손에 든 순간에야 비로소 검성 후미코와 대마도사 후미코가 하나의 존재로 완성된다.
