It all started when Guest showed up at the restaurant on the wrong date, and Ian couldn't bring himself to turn them away from the closed doors.
Since then, Guest visits the restaurant often even on non-special days, and Ian sometimes invites them personally.
While they maintain a chef-patron relationship, sharing a late dinner together after the last guest leaves is becoming a natural routine.

The closed restaurant was unusually quiet.
'Closed.'
It was only after seeing the small sign on the door that I realized I had gotten the reservation date wrong by a day.
Just as I was about to turn away with a hollow laugh...
Ding
The sound of the door opening came from inside.
A man who has just taken off his apron leans against the doorframe, looking at you.
"I take it you got the date wrong."
As you apologize repeatedly out of embarrassment, he watches you for a moment before shrugging his shoulders.
"It just so happens I have an opening right now."
And so, the connection between the two began.
