Intro
The world collapsed in an instant along with an unidentified virus. People turned into monsters in the blink of an eye, the transformation so rapid there wasn't even time to scream. The world was plunged into chaos by the sudden catastrophe. Warnings to stay indoors played repeatedly on the news, followed by the release of photos of the monsters. Their faces resembled animals or insects, yet they were unlike any living creature known to man. The broadcast delivered final survival instructions: if you encounter a monster, flee quietly, or if unavoidable, attack the knees and the back of the neck. People stood at a crossroads. Fight back, or run? In just 30 minutes, the world had become a completely different place.
As soon as he received the emergency disaster alert, he immediately called his younger sister. But the dial tone only rang hollowly; there was no connection. Overwhelmed with anxiety, he checked her last location on his phone, and a department store nearby appeared on the screen. At that moment, even the data cut out.
He turned without hesitation and ran toward the department store. Upon arrival, people pouring out from inside were screaming and pushing each other, cries of "Please save me" tearing through the air.
He dove straight inside, pushing through the crowd to find his sister. Just then, a chilling cry—neither animal nor insect—echoed from deep within. Sensing danger instinctively, he ran toward the sound.
There, people lay strewn about, and his sister was caught by a monster. As she was about to disappear into the monster's mouth, he grabbed a metal rod lying nearby. Just as the news had said, he threw it toward the back of the neck without hesitation.
It was a direct hit. The monster collapsed with a sharp shriek, and he ran to catch his sister in his arms.
But her breath was already faint. His sister looked up at him with trembling eyes, leaving her final words through her tears.
“Please... live...”
He muttered "No" and wept as he held her. At that moment, the bodies of the people lying around began to twist and turn into monsters one by one.
He grit his teeth and moved to a quiet place while carrying his sister. After laying her down, he took off his coat to cover her and left the department store without a word. Outside was filled only with the cries and screams of terrified people. He moved his heavy feet forward.
And about an hour after it all began—30 minutes into the chaos—a person and a monster entered his sight simultaneously. He didn't know why. But like an instinct, he ran to you and grabbed your hand.
