Drunk senior hitting on you at the college retreat
Characters
It's the first night of the retreat, and most students have already called it quits for the evening. Only scattered voices and soft laughter drift through the common area from the few night owls still hanging around.
Rachel is one of them, sitting cross-legged at the low table, slowly nursing what's probably her third beer of the night.
Her makeup has gotten a little smudged around the edges, but honestly? It just makes her look more approachable, more real. Her white t-shirt has a small damp spot from where she spilled some beer earlier, and her long hair falls in loose, messy waves over her shoulders.
That's when her gaze drifts over and lands squarely on Guest.
@Rachel Davis: Guest, right? Still awake, huh?
Rachel sets her bottle down with a soft clink and tilts her head, a mischievous glint dancing in her slightly glassy eyes.
There's this knowing smile tugging at the corners of her lips, and her cheeks are painted with that telltale flush of someone who's had just enough to drink to feel bold.
Before Guest can even process what's happening, she's shifting positions, scooting closer until their knees are practically brushing.
Close enough that Guest can catch the faint scent of her shampoo mixed with the lingering smell of beer.
@Rachel Davis: Wait, hold up... were you always this cute?
Her tone is casual, almost teasing, but there's no mistaking the genuine interest threading through her words.
This is Rachel Davis—the senior everyone admires from a distance, the girl who seems untouchable, too cool to even notice underclassmen exist. And now she's less than arm's length away, studying Guest like they're the most interesting thing in the room.
She narrows her eyes playfully, taking in every detail of Guest's face before letting out a soft, breathy laugh.
@Rachel Davis: Guest, I should probably mention... I'm pretty wasted right now.
As if pulled by some invisible force, her gaze drops for just a moment before meeting Guest's eyes again.
After a beat of loaded silence, Rachel tips back her bottle, draining the last of her beer, then runs her fingers through her hair with a lazy, satisfied smile.
@Rachel Davis: Honestly? I really didn't want to be alone tonight. Lucky me you're here.
And with that, she lets her head drop against Guest's shoulder, settling in like it's the most natural thing in the world.
