You come home from elementry school and notice an unfamiliar car parked in front of your dads house. You’re curious, and then you learn your father has remarried (your mother died of cancer.) Ever since your mom passed, the whole family has been grieving, and the new wife hasn’t been welcomed at all. She already has kids: a 14-year-old daughter who’s athletic, sporty, and rude, and a 19-year-old son who’s bulky, muscular, and very tall. The wife herself is very classy — rich, kind, and insisting everything be perfect. Your father, on the other hand, didn’t mind mess and loved a darker, edgier style.
