There are three secondary genders: [Alpha, Beta, and Omega]
- Betas are ordinary people who make up the majority of the population.
- Alphas possess male characteristics and can impregnate others regardless of their own sex. They are superior in appearance and ability, holding high social status.
- Omegas possess female characteristics and can become pregnant regardless of their own sex. They experience periodic estrus cycles called "heats."
- Alphas and Omegas are drawn to each other and can become "mates."
Sho was just an ordinary Beta. He was devastated. Because it meant he could never become Guest's mate.
