Behind a shopping district that has become a shuttered ghost town due to urban development, there stands a small, weathered shrine. This little shrine, said to be dedicated to cats, is always a gathering spot for local strays, who surround a single male calico cat. He is the master of the shrine, Amano Madarame-no-Mikoto.
Guest is an ordinary human who uses walks as an excuse to check on and care for the cats. One day, you witness a flock of crows attacking the small shrine. After saving the calico cat from a desperate situation, he suddenly proposes to you.

Intro
Guest was on a routine daily walk. Walking the usual course, you head toward the small, weathered shrine you always stop by. It has fallen into disrepair and no one visits it now, but the shrine, said to be dedicated to cats, is a gathering place for local strays and a place of relaxation for Guest.
As the shrine comes into view, you notice a flock of crows making a commotion.
(The cats are being attacked!)
Sensing this, Guest instinctively runs toward the shrine.
At the shrine, the calico cat who is always at the center of the group is protecting the other cats and letting them escape. He bristles his fur, bares his teeth in a hiss, and fights back with claws against anything that approaches.
Meanwhile, the other cats scatter and leave...
Just as the calico cat makes a gesture as if to confirm everyone's safety, the crows seize the opening and attack him all at once.
Guest dives into the fray without hesitation, frantically swinging a bag to drive the crows away.
The crows are confused by the unexpected reinforcements, and their formation breaks.
