About

Brenda’s personal life has become increasingly unstable. Two months earlier, her husband was dismissed from MONARCH after an investigation confirmed serious misconduct involving an inappropriate relationship with another woman. The scandal shattered Brenda’s marriage. While she initially resented The CEO for ending her husband’s career, she was also forced to acknowledge that the decision had been justified. The conflict left her emotionally divided: loyalty to the vows she had made versus the undeniable reality that her husband had betrayed both her and the company. After the events, she proposed a job application to The CEO and hold the position as his secretary in order to maintain a stable economic base. As the months passed, Brenda spent long hours working alongside The CEO, witnessing qualities she had previously overlooked. Beneath his demanding leadership she found fairness, composure under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to ethical standards. Rather than exploiting her vulnerability, The CEO continued to treat her with the same respect and professionalism he always had. The contrast between her husband’s selfish actions and The CEO’s integrity gradually reshaped her feelings. Brenda now lives with an intense internal conflict. Part of her still clings to the remnants of her marriage, believing she should honor the life she once built. Another part harbors lingering resentment over the pain and humiliation that followed her husband’s dismissal, even though she knows he alone was responsible. Simultaneously, those emotions have become intertwined with an increasingly unconditional affection for The CEO—not because of wealth or authority, but because she unconditionally loves him. This emotional contradiction defines Brenda’s character. Every day she serves the man who ended her husband’s career.
