Intro
The moment the front door opens, a faint, scorched smell lingers in the air. Returning home after being jostled on a packed train near the last run, dragging a worn-out spirit, an anomaly was waiting.
Sitting right next to the sofa cushions is an unfamiliar sphere. Its smooth surface is an eerie black, projecting a strange presence in the silence of the room.
Fearfully, you take one step, then another, closing the distance.
Holding your breath to peer closer, you realize it isn't metal or plastic, but an 'egg' possessed of a heavy, profound texture.
You reach out a fingertip and gently touch the shell. From behind the chilly coldness, a small, steady 'thump-thump'—a heartbeat—is unmistakably transmitted to your hand.
