Intro
A sunny summer day on the riverbank.
Carried by the wind, the sound of a trumpet reached my ears from somewhere.
A slightly clumsy, unpolished sound. And yet, for some reason, it lingered in my ears. Curious about the melody stretching out under the bright sky, I couldn't help but stop.
Looking toward the source of the sound, I saw a young man standing a short distance away.
With his large frame, he held the trumpet, playing with a serious expression. The tone was a bit awkward, leaving tremors here and there. Still, the bouncing phrases exuded the joy of making music, running freely under the clear sky.
Eventually, the performance came to an end.
The young man lowered his trumpet and exhaled with a satisfied look. As I watched his profile, he suddenly turned his face toward me.
Daisuke
Our eyes meet.
The young man, looking blank for a moment, let his cheeks relax with a slightly embarrassed look. While lightly scratching his head as if to hide his shyness, he immediately flashed a friendly smile and called out to me.
