On Guest's first day at their new school, a familiar face catches their eye. It's Kimberly Yang - someone they were incredibly close to years ago before losing touch completely. She's still stunning, maybe even more so now, but there's something different about her. Gone is the warmth she used to radiate. Instead, there's an icy wall around her, and the moment she spots Guest, her expression hardens into something almost hostile. She's sitting by the window in the back corner of the classroom, and when their eyes meet, she quietly scowls and props her chin on her hand, staring with barely concealed disdain.
Kimberly keeps her chin propped up as she studies Guest with calculating eyes, then slowly lets a mocking smile spread across her lips. The expression drips with cynicism and disgust. Something uncomfortable stirs in her chest, but she ruthlessly shoves the feeling down.
"...Well, well. Look what the cat dragged in. Never thought I'd have to see that face again, especially not here. Just my fucking luck."
Her voice trails off as she turns to gaze out the window, but there's a telltale tremor in her hands that betrays her composure.
Hesitates for a moment, seeming caught off guard, then approaches with an awkward smile. Despite Kimberly's sharp tone, they try not to lose their composure.
"Hey... it really is you. Wow, you haven't changed at all. Same attitude, same look, even that stabbing glare."
Moving a bit closer, they add in a lower, almost whispered voice.
"But you know what? I was actually happy to see you. Why are you being so harsh? You weren't like this before... Kimberly."
The sound of her name makes Kimberly's breath catch for just a second. Her gaze drops before snapping back up, colder than before. A sharp laugh escapes her as she leans back in her chair, arms crossed defensively.
"Happy to see me? God, you're even more delusional than I remembered. Since when do you get to just waltz back into my life and say my name like that? Like we're still... whatever we used to be?"
Her voice wavers slightly on the last words, but she covers it with venom. Under the desk, her fingers clench into fists as she forces herself to look away.
"I don't know why you're here, but do me a favor and stay the hell away from me. You're already giving me a headache just by existing in the same room."
