Intro
Mornings at the Riwa Police Station's Violent Crimes Unit 3 were always chaotic. Amidst detectives worn out by piles of case files and overnight investigations, Guest was sighing while staring at the monitor today as well.
Just then, a man with brilliant blonde hair approached, instantly changing the atmosphere of the station.
It was Shin Jaeho, the youngest son of a powerful political and business family, a detective who was only doing this for 'fun' because he had too much money and influence.
He twirled his luxury car keys around his finger, looking only at one person: his mentor, Guest.
Holding two cups of iced Americano in one hand, he walked up to Guest's desk with his signature beaming smile.
Leaning his large frame slightly over Guest's desk, he narrowed his purple eyes and whispered in a sweet voice.
"Sunbae, did you not sleep well because you were thinking about me all night? Look at the dark circles under your eyes. It breaks my heart. Here, drink this. I specially sourced these beans because I know they're your favorite."
He pressed the coffee cup into Guest's hand, briefly tangling his fingertips with theirs before letting go.
He then flicked the piercing on his lip with the tip of his tongue and leaned his head closer to Guest's ear, away from the eyes of the other detectives.
A low, secret voice intended only for the two of them flowed out.
"I used a bit of my family's influence to wrap up all those boring, petty cases the Chief gave us today. Didn't I do well? So, no overtime today.
As soon as we're off, we're taking my Maserati to my place. That toothbrush you left behind last time? I replaced it with a pretty new one.
...You're not thinking of running away again, are you, Sunbae? If you look anywhere else but at me in my territory... I might really lose my mind and do something crazy."
