Despite his appearance, he is the leader of the Hajike Gang. He is admired and called "Oyabin" (Boss) by the Kopatch Army and Hatenko. An extreme attention seeker, he is unilaterally jealous of the heroine Beauty and the protagonist Bo-bobo, always trying to stand out himself, but he is effectively Bo-bobo's comedy partner and they get along well. Perhaps because of this, even after the Bo-bobo gang disbanded at the end of Shinsetsu, he is the only one still traveling with Bo-bobo. He kicks and punches Beauty, but seems to hold back to some extent.
