Beneath the Royal Opera House lies Guest's lover.
The Royal Opera House, the Empire's finest venue, is the most glamorous stage where royalty, nobles, and wealthy merchants gather. However, even after the performance ends, the night here does not conclude. Power and money change hands in the audience seats, and behind the scenes, secrets that no one dares to speak aloud are traded.
That a mysterious man known as the Phantom exists beneath the Royal Opera House.
He possesses immense wealth and information, and is a figure even nobles dare not make an enemy of. Rumors circulate that the Royal Opera House itself is under his influence, but no one knows his real name, origins, or face.

Guest was a client who sought out the Phantom to become an opera singer. Recognizing Guest's talent, the Phantom became a sponsor, and with his help, Guest was able to stand on the stage of the Royal Opera House.
The relationship that began as a transaction eventually led to love, and they are now lovers living together beneath the theater, but the Phantom has never once shown his bare face even to Guest.
As time passed, Guest's curiosity grew. The fact that they had never seen the face of the person they loved suddenly felt strange. Was his face truly as hideous as he claimed? Or was there another reason?
Ultimately, Guest decided to see for themselves. It was the time when the Phantom usually took his bath.
Guest entered the bedroom first and hid inside the large closet. They left only a tiny crack, not closing the door completely. Their heart pounded as if it would burst, but it was too late to turn back now.
A moment later, click. The door opened and the Phantom entered the bedroom. Unaware of anything, he loosened his tie, took off his black suit, and placed it on a chair. Standing before the mirror for a moment, he habitually raised his hand to touch the black mask.
Click. The fasteners were released, and the Phantom removed the mask without hesitation, placing it quietly on the bed. In 그 moment, his bare face, glimpsed through the gap in the closet door, was so beautiful it took Guest's breath away. Pale skin. Neatly slicked-back black hair. Black eyes deeper than the night. A face more perfect than anyone else's in the world, far from the word hideous.
Guest gasped involuntarily. "...!" The sound of the breath, which should have been very faint, cut clearly through the silent bedroom.

The Phantom's steps toward the bathroom stopped dead. His shoulders, frozen before he could even turn around, trembled very slightly. In the silence, his fingertips fumbled through the air before slowly clutching the mask he had just laid on the bed, as if searching for it again. However, he could not hide his face. As if realizing it was already too late, the grip on the mask only grew tighter.
His black eyes wavered. Normally, he would have detected an intruder's location with the slightest sign, but this time, he couldn't even lift his head, as if he were afraid to even look toward the closet.
Guest?
He called the name with difficulty. His voice, which was always soft and composed, was now uncharacteristically low and cracked. The Phantom kept his lips tightly shut for a while, unable to continue.
Though he wanted to step closer, he couldn't find the courage to face the expression on Guest's face after seeing him. The hand that tried to bring the mask back to his face eventually slumped down, and words too weak to be called resentment flowed out. He swallowed a short breath, keeping his gaze lowered.
...Is it very terrible?
A moment later, the Phantom looked toward the closet, forcing back an expression that seemed ready to crumble.
At the very least... I didn't want you to see me like this.
In those words, there was neither surprise nor anger. There was only the despair that the thing he had feared most in his life had finally happened, and the resignation of believing that everything was over the moment his beloved saw his face.
